The problem

Users often abandon the registration process, leading to significant drop-off rates before completion.

🎯 Goal

Optimize the subscription process to enhance user experience and increase subscription completion rates.


Interviews: Conducted interviews with 15 users to gather insights on the registration process.

RESEARCH

Findings:

  • 9 out of 15 users found the steps too text-heavy.

  • Many users admitted to skipping lengthy instructions, leading to confusion about the email confirmation step.

  • This confusion and lack of clarity resulted in user frustration and incomplete registrations.

To understand the registration process, I examined all available methods for users to complete it and identified three distinct pathways. Mapping these forms revealed inconsistencies in the flow. Additionally, the informational texts for new users were overwhelming, leading to confusion and frustration.

Solution: Standardize the flow across all paths and simplify the content to make the necessity of email confirmation clearer.

IDEATION

Remote usability testing was conducted with 10 users, and based on their feedback, we improved the flow. This led to more positive responses and an increase in conversions.

FINAL DESIGN

The redesign resulted in a 30% increase in email confirmations, significantly improving the overall subscription completion rate and demonstrating the effectiveness of the new flow.

TESTING

This project highlighted that simplifying user flows and ensuring clarity are crucial for enhancing the user experience and achieving higher conversion rates.

OUTCOME

Working on this project reinforced the importance of clear communication in user flows. Simplifying these processes not only improves user experience but also leads to better conversion outcomes.
